I'm seeing more juncos this year here in the Great Plains. They're much more numerous (and larger) than the juncos I watched in Colorado.

Not sure why they wouldn't be visiting this year -- more harsh winter in Maryland, perhaps? Easier pickings elsewhere?

As of Jan 1, 2010 have seen only a couple of juncos here in coastal Maryland. In past years have had lots and thought they usually showed up in late November.

A Dark-eyed Orgeon Junco decided to nest in our hanging flower pot. It's so cute! The Mom now has eggs, and I'm not sure when they're going to hatch. Anyway, this site helped a lot. Thanks for the help ! ^_^
