One way to deter squirrels from your wild bird and other wildlife feeders is to use a powder made from spicy hot peppers:
For more information on keeping squirrels away, see my post, "Keep Squirrels Away from Your Wildlife Porch, Deck, or Backyard".

We got rid of the squirrels using the powder but we also got rid of all the birds. We have 8 feeders spread out on our property and decided to put regular feed back in one birds are now eating at that one but will not touch the others. The mix was done according to directions.

Ashley - Yours is the first report I've heard of the Squirrel Away powder not working, even with a search of the Internet.
Try any of the other, probably better methods I've mentioned in the article linked above: eradication or the right squirrel-proof feeder.
I wonder if your repellent had been sitting on the shelf awhile? Perhaps moldy or something? Hmm... I'll keep an ear out for other reports.

I have about eight squirrels who regularly empty my bird feeders. I mixed squirrel away according to directions and it worked on seven of them. I have one who isn't bothered by the repellent and keeps eating.
I am going to try a stronger mix.
